About K-State Research and Extension
For more than 125 years, we have helped solve problems and improve the lives of all Kansans. We're a statewide resource in all 105 Kansas counties, offering access to a world of information and programs to meet local needs. Established in 1863, Kansas State University was the first land-grant university in the nation and from the beginning has been involved in research and extending research-based information to the people to help them improve their lives.
Our Mission . . .
"We are dedicated to a safe, sustainable, competitive food and fiber system and to strong, healthy communities, families and youth through integrated research, analysis and education."
